There is no one-set approval date for the University that covers Lab Safety Assurance.   Each lab gets its own approval letter & date of approval from the Lab Safety Committee.  In addition, there is an Institutional Bio-safety Committee (IBC) for Recombinant DNA use.  This is separate from the broad Lab Safety approval.  Check with  Amy Wilkerson regarding this.
