NIH Biosketch

Our boilerplates and sample text for selected application sections may be used as a starting point for your applications, and should be modified to meet sponsor's requirements and to align with your proposed research plan.

The NIH is rolling out a new biosketch format. The new format, which was piloted with select RFAs, extends the page limit from four to five pages and allows researchers to describe up to five of their most significant contributions to science along with the historical background that framed their research. Each of these descriptions can be supported by listing up to four relevant peer-reviewed articles. The NIH plans to require the modified biosketch for all NIH grant applications submitted after May 25, 2015. This boilerplate will be updated as NIH requirements continue to evolve.
