Gene Targeting Facility
The Gene Targeting Facility provides gene targeting and mouse embryonic stem cell technology for members of the Rockefeller University, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and their collaborators. The laboratory performs specific genomic modifications in mouse embryonic stem cells. The facility is mainly used in creating knockout or knockin mice that allow researchers to assess specific gene functions in intact mice. The current service includes regular gene targeting by homologous recombination and Cre-mediated genomic engineering in embryonic stem cells.
