Training Area
OSPA's Training area is Rockefeller's resource for institutional training grants as well as individual fellowships and career development awards. We coordinate and aid in the preparation of institutional training grant proposals and reports, and provide guidance to individuals interested in furthering their training through fellowship or career development opportunities. We work with the PI/Program Director and, in the case of institutional grants, the Dean’s Office on all training related grant submissions.
Serving as a liaison to sponsor agencies for training grant-related inquiries, we work with you to ensure that applications are responsive, meet requirements and address review criteria, and comply with sponsor guidelines.
Through collaborative efforts, we support the university’s pursuit of external training resources. We keep the faculty and Dean’s Office aware of new training opportunities and changes in sponsor agency policies and guidelines. We offer advice on the peer review process, strategic developments, and funding likelihood.
Our Training area consolidates and integrates training-related data and documentation processed within OSPA across PIs and laboratories. Working closely with OSPA's Program Development, we seek out new solutions to coordinate and streamline institutional grants, fellowships, and career development awards that will benefit all laboratories and departments.
