Call for Nominations

Program: Alexandrine and Alexander L. Sinsheimer Fund

Program Description
This is an annual award to individuals who demonstrate potential for making major contributions with respect to the prevention or cure of human disease. The recipients of these awards will be known as Sinsheimer Scholars.

Eligibility
The individual must hold a faculty position, but not be more than in the third year of their assistant professorship as of April 30, 2013. There are no citizenship requirements. There are no tenure-track requirements.

Award
$50,000/year, for three years. Only one candidate per institution may apply.

Instructions for University Nominating Committee Submission
Heads of Laboratory interested in nominating themselves or an individual within their laboratory, should submit the following materials:

  1. A letter of nomination
  2. A current curriculum vitae including the nominee's date of birth, citizenship status, the full date (m/d/y) of degrees received
  3. Other support information
  4. 4-5 page summary of the research proposed
  5. Publications may be submitted
  6. E-mail all items in a single Word document to Frances Yee
